Far from any form of life, lost in the immense kingdom of snows, ice and wind, here our refuge. In this small island, the principal activity consists in melting snow. Nearly one hour is necessary to obtain one liter of water. When it is known that at these altitudes it is necessary to drink daily between 3 and 5 liters of liquid per anybody, it is understood that the days finish late. As for the warm food, it is exclusively freeze-dried and its preparation asks for only boiling water and a few minutes of patience.
